13 Mosaic Team ‘s daily dialogue and dedication leads to experimentation with natural raw and modern materials, creating a plethora of designs, works and courses.

The Team met at number 13 of an Athenian alley, to work on a challenging project creating a large scale 3D mosaic piece. It soon became clear, that this collaboration was the beginning of a long journey of creativity in the mosaics’ colorful world.

That was the moment that 13 Mosaic Studio was established.

Our work is created using ancient mosaic art and craft techniques, where each piece of material is cut by hand with a hammer; these materials are mainly marble, natural rocks and where needed the use of smalti and tiles. In 13 Mosaic studio, we create and reflect on mosaic in modern and innovative ways. We also pay homage to the mosaic-makers of the past whose techniques were the cornerstones for today’s dynamic explorations into the medium.

Each new project is a challenge for 13 Mosaic Studio, where antiquity meets modernity, creating solid art pieces, thanks to a special mix of mortars, ideal both for interior design and exterior spaces.
